Where

These are the places where I had fun in the last few years; I recommend you plan a visit there. Ping me if you need advice and recommendations.

Winchester and the New Forest

The primary local discipline is gravel and cross-country. The recommended Locations are West Wood near Farley Mount, Lordswood and The New Forest.

UK National Parks and Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty

I fell in love with Mountain Biking in Wales. Since then, I have started wondering about and discovering all the fantastic mountain biking places in the UK.
Some places I like to mention as I know them better or because I fell in love with them are Snowdonia, Brecon Beacons, Surrey Hills, Galloway Forest, Lake District, and Yorkshire Dales. Each of these places has several forests and purpose-built trail parks. I avoid the trail parks as I avoid ski slopes in winter. I don’t feel the adventure component in them. It’s like sport climbing and mountaineering. However, you can improve your technical skillset in a park to be a better all-around mountain biker.

Apennines and San Giovese

That’s where I like to recover and relax while training hard. Mountain Biking and Tastings between Tuscany, Emilia Romagna and Marche. Natural Reserves and National Parks overlook the Adriatic sea and the internal Apennines Mountains. Some of the most promising Sangiovese wine producers.

Level: All Levels. Disciplines: Cross Country, Enduro, All Mountain and Downhill.

Dolomites and Prosecco Fab Rides

Outstanding mountain bike trails in the Dolomites. Post-ride wine tastings and visits to the best Prosecco Superiore producers in Valdobbiadene and Cartizze. Small producers are winning regularly receive awards at the International and local levels.

Level: Intermediate to Advanced. Disciplines: Cross Country, Enduro, All Mountain and Downhill.

Lake Como and Valtellina Nebbiolo Rides

Discover Lake Como Trails, the mountains, the villages and the outstanding Nebbiolo that is consistently winning the best awards in the latest red wine competitions.

Fab Wines Rides – Vineyards and Winetastings

Based on last year’s success, we are creating these cycling holidays aimed at fabulous social experiences in collaboration with Fab Wines. Mountain biking and wine tasting exploring new local areas.

Level: All levels. Discipline: mainly cross country, sometimes Enduro.

Here is what to bring in every ride.

I aim to create riding groups with similar capabilities/“taste” to give the participating riders more flow and fun. However, I can’t guarantee it will always be the case.

PLEASE, You MUST have a mountain bike in FULL WORKING ORDER to avoid compromising the group ride. Here are a few recommendations on what to bring during our rides.
