Insurance and Liabilities Terms and Conditions

The activity is insured in respect of legal liabilities (third-party liability). However, participants have no personal accident cover unless they have been specifically advised of this in writing by us. It is the participants’ responsibility to arrange for any extension of their existing insurance cover unless advised differently by us.

Data Protection

Fab Campaigns Ltd, owner of Fab Rides, comply with the Data Protection Act 1998 (The Act) as per British Cycling Policies. We also comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Information will be kept secure and confidential and will only be disclosed to those parties who have legal and legitimate needs to know. Every Rider MUST complete the “Rider Information and Consent Form” before joining the ride. This information includes personal details, emergency contact details, disabilities, medical information and medications.

Safety First

Safety is our priority. In some sections of the hike or trail, we might ask you to change your riding or hiking style if our guides believe that you might compromise your personal and group safety.

Riders Refunds & Cancellation Policy

Fab Rides are not responsible for your expenses nor will a refund of your booking be offered if you are asked to take no further part in the activity. This includes for instance our ride booking, any flight booking, car hire booking and hotel booking you have done to attend our rides.

If you are late for any reason, whilst we will endeavour to support you, this may not always be possible so please allow plenty of time for your journey to join our activities. Full payment is taken on booking for these events, except in the case of multi-day trips, when a deposit will be charged on booking and the balance paid one week before the trip. We are not able to guarantee dates and guides. If for whatever reason, you need to cancel, 48 hours’ notice must be given or we will charge a half-price cancellation fee. If less than 6 hours notice is given, an 80% price charge will apply. If you need to change your time, for the same day or even the same weekend, we will always endeavour to help, but please remember that we will charge for late cancellations or no-shows.

Fab Rides Changes and Cancellations

We reserve the right to change the ride at any time or even cancel the guided ride within 24 hours’ notice due to illness, extreme weather conditions or the minimum number of bookings is not met. Fab Rides will honour your booking (based on availability) if Fab Rides cancel the ride or the rider cannot take part for valid reasons.

Fab Rides Confirmation

An individual will receive a booking confirmation upon complete payment of the day. By paying and confirming the booking confirmation an individual will be accepting Fab Rides’ terms and conditions. Bookings are non-refundable.

Time Pricing

I offer Mountain Biking Single Track guided rides in the UK National Parks, AONBs and Main Trail Centre (up to Red grade). Our rides can include steep descents and climbs, drops and berms. During our rides, we review together body position, braking, pedalling, cornering, movement on the bike, steep downhills skills, steep uphills skills and technical terrain including roots and drops (no jumps unless required). We also look at bike setup and how to overcome fear and ride with more confidence.

I offer guided hikes in the Alps, UK National Parks and UK AONBs. Additionally, we climb and go ski touring in some of the best alpine crags and mountains. However, please note that I am NOT a qualified International Mountain Leader or an alpine guide, but I do offer quality days to qualify for the awards. You are welcome to join me on these days. However, please be aware that my time allocated to you in organizing and leading these days should be paid for, using the price list below as a reference. We can review the prices if your experience and leading contribution is significant

We will invoice a full-day ride if a planned half-day ride will take more than 4 hours due to poor personal bike maintenance.
Full Day (More than 4 hours riding)
One-to-One  – £250
2-3 people: £130.00 per person
4-5 people: £90.00 per person
6-7 people: £80.00 per person
10 Rides/Hours
10 Hours and max 5 rides: 300.00£
20 Hours and max 10 rides: 500.00£
Bike Hire

We use local bike hire facilities. You’ll be responsible to get a contract with the bike-hire facility. Bikes are usually kept in good working order but we don’t take any direct or indirect responsibility or liability for accidents and damages caused using the bike hire bikes.
